The Response Statistics package makes it possible to create a link or an HTML file with updated response statistics. The advantage of using this package is that you can quickly create a link to other stakeholders in the organization and that the response statistics will be updated with new data continuously.
By using the Response Statistics package you can create a link, send it to different managers and stakeholders. Then they only need to click on the link to see updated Response Statistics. The Response Statistics page shows the number of completed, incomplete and unanswered surveys in numbers and percentages based on the total number of participants.
Note: The Response Statistics package can only be used with an e-mail launch.
In the top drop down menu you can choose between your different background variables.
Set up the Response Statistics package
1. Go E-mail launch menu, under the Launch tab, and launch your survey.
2. When you have launched your survey go to the Download Packages, under the Launch tab, and click on the Resp. Stats button. A new window will open.
Launch: Here you can choose which launches the Response Statistics should be based on. The default setting is All, which means that the Response Statistics will show data from all of your launches. If you only want to show data from a specific launch then choose your launch in the drop down menu.
Language: Here you can choose which language the Response Statistics should be created in. If you have added several languages you will be able to choose between the different languages.
Filter: In the analysis part it is possible to create advanced filters and save them in the library. If you have created any advanced filters you will be able to filter your Response Statistics based on these.
Anonymity: You can choose to add a degree of anonymity to your Response Statistics. To add anonymity select show only Response statistics when more than and in the drop down menu choose the minimum number of responses in the statistics. If there are less than 5 responses in one group then it will not be possible to see the statistics, instead the graph will occur as N/A (not available).
Variables: Under variables you can see the different background variables that you have added to your survey. You can see the added background variables in the top of the Response Statistics page and here you can see the response statistics for each background variable.
You can remove some of your background variables if you don’t want them to be visible on the Response Statistics. To remove a background variable, move the variables from the Included box to the Not Included box with the help of the arrows. An example where it might be relevant to remove a background variable could be on variables that include individual values such as Employee ID, date of birth or small departments.
Download: Here you can download the Response Statistics package to your computer.
Save in online file system: Click here if you want to create a link to your Response Statistics. When you choose to save the package in the online file system a link will automatically be created. You can send the link to those who want to follow the incoming response statistics.
3. When you have downloaded or saved the package online you can either implement the package on your own website or you can distribute the link to your stakeholders.
Tips and tricks to Response Statistics
Background variables: It’s a good idea to consider which background variables you want to be visible in your response statistics. In some surveys it is important that it is not possible to figure out which respondents gave a response and which ones that did not.
Anonymity: Again, here it is important to consider what kind of information you want visible in the response statistics. The Response statistics package is saved as an HTML file. You can change design and layout by changing the HTML codes.
Browsers: The Response Statistics page can be used in all browsers by copying the link from the file system and inserting it in the browser's address line. If you want to download the package, the file cannot be opened directly in Internet Explorer.
In case you want to use the downloaded package in Internet Explorer you will have to access it through the organization's web server. If you save the package online there are no problems with using Internet Explorer.
Every time you download or save the Response Statistics package an Access key is created. You can see the access key under My Account and Access keys. If you delete the access key the package will be disabled and it will no longer be possible to see the latest response statistics on the link.
