E-mail Launch
Launching via e-mail is the most widely used method. This method ensures that an e-mail invitation to participate in the survey is sent to all respondents.
E-mail launches ensure that:
- Respondents can only reply once, because they receive a unique username and password. This prevents the possibility of duplicates in the responses and manipulation of the study.
- Respondents can receive reminders to answer the survey if they fail to do so.
- It is possible to contact respondents that have incomplete answers so their responses can be completed.
In order to carry out an e-mail launch, you should add contacts, set up the invitation e-mail and reminder and then launch your survey.
Link Launch
This method generates an address to the survey. This address may be used in a link on a website, intranet or similar. This method is used especially by site surveys and entering data from paper-form surveys that you don't have any existing information on. Furthermore, this method is widely used for contests, as it is possible to generate a QR-code for the launch.
In a link launch you can decide how many completed surveys the link should contain and it is possible for respondents to make several replies. However, it is not possible to see personal information on the respondents unless you work with transfer values.
In order to carry out a link launch, you should just click the Launch button under the Link launch menu, and you are set. Remember that by using a link launch, you don't have the e-mails, names or information on the respondents unless you ask for them in the survey.
