Add report filters

Report filters are used to sort and segment respondents in your report. Enalyzer allows you to filter by any variable in your project. With Enalyzer you can create open and closed filters.

  • Open filters allow the report’s readers to make their own selections to the filter.
  • Closed filters do not allow the report’s readers to make their own selections. Closed filters are useful if you wish to, for example, share a report with a manager and allow them to only see the results of his staff.

Add open filters

1. Go to your report, click on Filters and Add filter.

2. Select the variable you would like to filter your report by.

3. Click Yes since this is an open filter.

4. Select the default filter selection. Your report’s readers will be able to make their own selections, but the report defaults to your selections. Click Next to continue.

5. Name your filter. By default, it will be named based on the variable it is created on. Changing the name of the filter allows for readers to better understand the filter’s purpose. Click Done to create the filter.

6. All report charts are now filtered and since the filter is open you can make your own selections.

Pro Tip: You can use filters to manage viewing rights to your reports: watch the video tutorial to learn more.
