Add filters based on a text variable

How do I add a report filter based on a text variable?

  1. Click on […] and choose Add
  2. Select Filter
  3. Click on the expand arrow to the right of the text variable you wish to use and select the version that isn’t Auto-generated. Click on the variable itself to select it.
  4. Select either yes or no to whether you want to provide access to filter selections, depending on your preference.
  5. You can choose between the following methods for selecting which variable to filter by:
  • Begins with
  • Ends with
  • Contains
  • Exact match 
  • Selection
  1. If you wish to choose more than one variable click Add and select another variable.
  2. Once you are satisfied with the variable(s) chosen, click Next.
  3. Name your filter and click Done.

How do I add a chart filter based on a text variable?

  1. Go to your chart and click on […]
  2. Select Chart filters.
  3. Click on Add filter.
  4. Click on the expand arrow to the right of the text variable you wish to use and select the version that isn’t Auto-generated. Click on the variable itself to select it.

  1. If you wish to choose more than one variable click Add and select another variable.
  2. Once you are satisfied with the variable(s) chosen, click Save.
  3. To return to the report click on X in the top right corner
